Title: Reverse Dealer
Location/Breakfast: World Gym Red Deer

I think we can all agree that our location this month was fantastic and proves that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. I was surprised walking in to such a beautiful fitness facility. I feel like World Gym is a hidden gem in Red Deer, and with $10/month memberships, how can you resist signing up?

To celebrate our three year anniversary, we introduced our growing committee welcoming Brian Olstad from Redpoint Design , Sharlyn Carter from Market Gypsy, and Becky Murray from The Bex Factor. The room was full of attendees sipping coffee and snacking on homemade healthy treats, listening to Michelle Caplan from Ronald McDonald House Charities® Southern and Central Alberta speak about social media content.

With 93% of people globally having at least one social media account, you can’t use the excuse “my audience isn’t on social media” anymore. Rather than posting random content, social media managers should be focusing on creating useful and meaningful content to reach their customers.

What do I post today?

When you’re tapped out of ideas, it can be hard to keep the momentum going with fresh content. Take the pressure off knowing what to post day to day. Reaching out to your community is the first step. Bloggers are a great resource for collaborating with on fresh content relevant to your subject. Michelle also recommends looking back on your Facebook Pages Feed to see what your other relevant pages are sharing. Subscribing to Google Alerts or ContentGems will notify you of new articles from around the web.

5 Tips & Tricks To Make The Best of Social in 2016

  1. Simple Social Media Management
A unified voice across your platforms is important.
  2. Plan With A Content Calendar
Trello is good option for a free, web-based tool. WordPress users can also add an editorial calendar plugin.
  3. Create Beautiful Content Without Expensive Software
Not a designer? Create professional looking designs using PicMonkey, Canva or Pixlr. Short on images? Download free stock images from Pixabay, Pexels, Life of Pix, Morgue File, Pic Jumbo, Stock Snap and Unsplash.
  4. Don’t Forget Customer Service
Make your customer contact count. People appreciate when brands interact, answer questions and go the extra mile. Personal notes are a sure way to impress.
  5. Reach Out
“Engage key influencers, run a contest, use hashtags and mentions, thank new followers and share content your audiences want to hear about.”
